How To Hang Floating Vanity

Floating vanities are a great way to add a modern and stylish look to your bathroom. They are also a great space saver, as they do not take up any floor space. However, hanging a floating vanity can be a bit tricky, so it is important to follow the instructions carefully.

Screwdriver

Mounting brackets

Instructions:

Find the studs: Use a stud finder to locate the studs in the wall where you want to hang the vanity. Mark the location of the studs with a pencil.
Install the mounting brackets: Hold the mounting brackets up to the wall and align them with the studs. Use a pencil to mark the location of the screw holes. Drill pilot holes into the wall at the marked locations. Insert the screws into the pilot holes and tighten them until the brackets are secure.
Hang the vanity: Lift the vanity onto the mounting brackets. Make sure that the vanity is level. Use a level to check the vanity from side to side and front to back. If the vanity is not level, adjust the mounting brackets until it is.
Secure the vanity: Once the vanity is level, use a screwdriver to tighten the screws that secure the vanity to the mounting brackets. Be sure to tighten the screws securely so that the vanity does not move.
Install the hardware: Install the cabinet knobs or pulls on the vanity. Also, install any other hardware, such as towel bars or hooks.

Tips:

If you are installing the vanity on a wall that does not have studs, you will need to use anchors. Anchors are available at most hardware stores.
Be sure to measure the vanity carefully before you hang it. You do not want to hang the vanity too high or too low.
Use a level to make sure that the vanity is level. A crooked vanity will look sloppy.
Tighten the screws securely so that the vanity does not move. A loose vanity can be dangerous.
